About Yoga Earth

Catherine Eastwood

- Founder

I have loved teaching Yoga since 2008, when I qualified as a 500hour British Wheel of Yoga Teacher. Since then, I have gone on to train and qualify as a Foundation Course Tutor (since 2017) and a Diploma Course Teacher Trainer (since 2020).

My passion in sharing Yoga is to honour the roots and history of Yoga in an accessible way, ensuring that Yoga is something that can be explored both on and off the mat, creating space for people to find their own connection to Yoga and what it might offer to them in their lives. In my Yoga offerings you can expect inclusion of Yoga philosophy that is relevant to you in life, movement through asana that is accessible for all levels, along with stillness for focus, reflection or relaxation. Working with the breath is key in my style of Yoga exploring the breath in both movement and stillness, exploring rhythms and how energy and life is moving.

I love creating a range of Yoga opportunities including weekly classes, online offerings, workshops and events to delve deeper, outdoor sessions to celebrate the sun, the moon and the seasons, mindful mornings, stillness sessions, small group and one to one tuition and mentoring, Yoga and relaxation in the workplace, weekend retreats, Foundation Course training and Teacher Training courses. Through this wide range of offerings, I feel able to support everybody, wherever you might be in your Yoga journey.

My academic background is in Forensic Psychology with a 20-year career across various Police Forces within the UK. I am now a full time Yoga teacher with two children and a small herd of rescue animals living on a small holding in the countryside.
